SJCA Cheerleaders
St. Joesph Cheerleading is back and better than ever!

Coach Brooke Glasgow
"I would like to personally thank the students, faculty, parents, and the community of St. Joes for the warm welcome of our 2008 Cheer squad. It is so nice to see that all the hard work the team has put into making their school proud has not gone unnoticed. I can’t tell you how many parents have stopped to thank me or to comment on how wonderful it is to have Cheerleaders back at the school. I love sitting in the stands and hearing fans comment on how great the cheerleaders are performing. My favorite part of each game is the now infamous Lancer Rumble!
The team is made up of eighteen dedicated athletes that have been working hard since the middle of the summer to prepare for the upcoming school year. They kicked off the season under the direction of their captains Gretchen Van Meter and Meghan Barry at the Lancers first home opener in August. When they are not conditioning, tumbling, stunting, lifting and cheering they are busy preparing for games, pep rallies, and school events. Soon the football season will be over and the team will start cheering for basketball. As the team continues to improve, there may even be a competition or two in the near future.
I can honestly say that this is the best group of girls I have ever had the pleasure of coaching. They consistently give 110% every time, all the time. I couldn’t be prouder of them. I feel blessed that I have the opportunity to be a part of a wonderful tradition of bringing cheerleading and school spirit back to St. Joesphs."
